On Bianca and Hayden

Hayden Marcollo is an Australian friend who was a postdoc at MIT for 2 years, and taught me everything about biking. No joke. I met him just as I started road cycling, and I spent months and months going out in the early mornings struggling behind him on every climb, flat, and descent. Thanks to his infinite patience, I improved faster than I would have otherwise, and before long I was finally able to match him pedal by pedal.

Hayden and Bianca went home to Australia and just had baby Luke 9 months ago. This is Luke's first time visiting the US, and to relive the good old times Hayden and I went biking today. Here are some of the photos. The other dude with the tongue out is Mark, who is my racing team captain. Just randomly ran into him on the road, so it was worth a photo.

In other news, fall is officially here and in New England we are fortunate to have the fall colors bloom at this time of the year. Next weekend the leaves will be at the peak of their majesty before they fall to the ground for the winter.
